It all starts with a letter in the mail addressed to you in a looping cursive that can't be anything but actual handwriting. It's written on expensive looking parchment and sealed with wax. There's no stamp and no return address. You find it odd, but what possible harm could a simple letter do? So you take it inside and break the seal, extracting another piece of parchment with the same flowing cursive.
There was nothing else on the card. Just the invitation and the address. But it had peaked your curiosity, so decide to go. You pack an overnight bag, hoping that it would be enough, and set off for Heta Manor.
The gate opens as soon as you pull up to it without warning. The oddities just keep stacking up, but you continue on down the drive through the sprawling grounds anyway. When you get to the door you prepare to knock, but before you can the door opens to reveal a man in what appears to be some sort of old fancy servant's outfit.
"Hello, my master told me to be expecting you. Right this way, I will show you to your room so that you may prepare for dinner. And after that..."

Hello. I am the owner of a large estate not far from your town. You may perhaps have heard about it, Heta Manor. I have arranged a dinner of sorts for you and a few other members of the town and would be much obliged if you would join us here. There will be dinner, dancing, and games. There will be a room provided for you, as the festivities will be lasting until very late and I would not want you to drive home in the dark. Show up at the address given at 3 p.m. sharp tomorrow afternoon, my butler will greet you at the door.Sincerely Yours,
Master of the House1108 Cherry Lane, Circletown
